Little Lion Man: 3
The sun was slipping below the soot-stained city skyline, and darkness was descending rapidly. Brendon pulled the collar of his jacket up and tilted his head down, hoping to hide the fear and uncertainty that was so plain upon his face.
How naive he was, that he thought these simple gestures could keep him safe. Really, they just made him more of a target.
"Hey, kid!"
Brendon flinched at the voice and quickened his pace. The footsteps of the other man followed, though, causing Brendon to silently panic a little more inside.

Little Lion Man: 2Seven months earlier.
Brendon pulled his backpack up on his shoulders, finding the weight strangely comforting to him. Perhaps it was because he carried all that he loved in that bag; pictures of happier times and memories of warmer yesterdays weighed down upon him, easing him away from the life he had known for...always.
The nineteen-year-old had left home, seeking a shelter from drunken slurs past midnight and fiery cuts from broken bottles, thrown haphazardly at him from his father's doorway. What comfort he thought he would find on the streets is anyone's guess; in the end, it seemed he believed that anyplace would be better than home.
The young man was in the inner city now; the change of environment made it clear he wasn't in the suburbs anymore. Well, that, and the looks he received from passerby. Businessmen glanced at him, taking only nanoseconds each to notice the boy before continuing with their commutes to and from their offices. Others eyed him as prey, Little Lion Man: 2 by ~DecodingVelleity

Brendon was falling, shards of glass descending with him as he plummeted from the ungodly height, his arms outstretched towards the heavens, his frightened soul wishing for flight. How ironic it was, finally facing death like this…he used to think he’d live a long, happy life, and marry a beautiful woman, and live to see his children, and grandchildren, and when his time would come, he would die peacefully in his sleep…
But then everything was destroyed. The last of his innocence, his  beautiful, impossible plans, the desires of his Little Lion Man: 1 by ~DecodingVelleity

Sorry I haven’t written to you in a while. They’ve been keeping us busy here in England. I’ve heard rumors about a plan of attack, one that’s supposed to liberate France, but like I said, it’s just a rumor. I heard one of the first lieutenant giving the colonel a ‘good time’. Another one of the first sergeant being part Japanese, but I’ve also heard rumors about him being Italian and pretty much everything in between. I’ve also met some guys that are pretty cool too.    They’re shipping me off to England soon. The higher ups think that we could be of help in some plan they have. But of course they haven’t told me anything other than where to go and what to bring. Nerdy Love 2I walked in the store on the curb of 4th and Fremont. When I pushed the door, it hummed the Superman theme song as I passed through. I scanned the room as I spotted some X-Men, some Iron Man, some adventure time, and- Something caught my eye. It was a boy, about my age or older. Sitting behind the counter reading a Spider-Man comic. You wouldn't believe it, but he looked like superman...who just happened to be my favorite superhero. His dark hair curled just the right way, inhumanly blue eyes that twinkled like the night stars, and just the way he carried himself in his worn out flip flops and blue Chicago hoodie, and...I sound so incredibly gay now, don't I?
 "Checking out the employees from behind comic books Spence? Stalker much?" Ryan's voice startled me as I jumped. He laughed cynically, "It's okay Spence, you can tell me, I won't judge you." 
"Tell you what?"
"That you're gay and are checking out my work buddy Jon from behind a bookshelf?"

I don't understand why there are folders for Ryan and Jon but not folders for Ian and Dallon... Ryan and Jon aren't even IN P!ATD anymore....
